Numéro 9

Numéro 9

01_PhilosophiesNuméro 9, a fresh take on the luxury car, sublimates the DNA of the DS line models. Adopting a singular creative approach and featuring unique styling, it stands out with its potent emotional content, refinement and exceptional finish.

Numéro 9 brings drivers a whole new at-the-wheel experience and is entirely user-friendly for day-to-day driving.

The shooting brake-inspired concept car exudes an assertive and charismatic presence.

02_DesignWith its meticulous detailing, Numéro 9 embodies the refinement of the DS line in the most stunning manner. Designed in Paris, the capital of the fashion world in all of its glory and universality, the concept car opens a new design chapter in the DS universe. In classic DS style, the body is topped with a floating roof, underlined by a chrome-finished signature surfaced with a discreet DS monogram, and the side windows flow rearwards into the tailgate.

Colours and materials are artfully worked to mysterious, sophisticated effect. The deep black body paint with subtle traces of violet, called “Whisper”, perfectly matches the “Californian” chrome detailing with its slightly warm tone.

03_TechnologiesThe Numéro 9 concept car combines a range of technologies for outstanding performance on comfort, safety and environmental protection while bringing occupants subtle yet strong driving sensations. The “créative technologie” on board perfectly illustrates the expertise of the Citroën brand. Numéro 9 is powered by a hybrid drivetrain marrying a petrol or diesel engine with an electric motor on the rear axle. The electric motor uses lithium-ion technology to develop power of 70 bhp and torque of 200 Nm, with charging via a domestic socket taking just three and a half hours.

04_EnvironnementAs a plug-in hybrid, Numéro 9 is environment-friendly. This is especially true in city driving, using ZEV (Zero Emission Vehicle) mode, offering a range of 50 km, and also on roads requiring successive acceleration and deceleration, where the hybrid system limits fuel consumption by drawing on both energy sources. The internal-combustion engine kicks in on the motorway with particularly strong performance, developing an impressive 295 bhp with no detriment to fuel consumption (1.7 l/100 km) or CO2 emissions (39 g/km).
